Position: Figma Production + Localization Specialist
Location: Fully remote; WA State residents preferred
Status: Hourly contract (32–40 hours/week), ~4 months
Rate: $40.00–$50.00/hour DOE
JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Figma Production & Localization Specialist to support high-volume design production and localization workflows for a large-scale project.
This role focuses on executing production tasks directly in Figma, including preparing files for localization, updating layouts with translated content, managing version control, and ensuring design consistency across multiple languages and regional variations.
You will work within established design systems and templates, making precise updates while maintaining layout integrity, spacing, typography, and brand standards. This is a fully remote, hourly contract role requiring strong attention to detail, organization, and comfort working within structured workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute high-volume production updates in Figma across multiple language versions
- Prepare and duplicate artboards for localization workflows
- Implement translated copy into layouts while preserving visual consistency and design standards
- Adjust typography, spacing, and components to accommodate text expansion and contraction
- Maintain organized file structures, naming conventions, and version control
- Perform thorough self-QA to ensure accuracy across content, layout, and regional variations
- Collaborate with designers, localization teams, and project managers to resolve layout or content issues
- Track work using task management tools (e.g., Asana, etc)
- Support process improvements to streamline localization and production workflows
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience in digital production, localization production, or design operations
- Strong hands-on experience working in Figma (components, styles, auto layout, libraries)
- Experience preparing and updating multilingual or localized design files
- Exceptional attention to detail and layout precision
- Comfort working within established design systems and templates
- Ability to manage high-volume production work with accuracy and consistency
- Strong organizational and file management skills
- Clear written communication and ability to document issues or questions concisely
- Must pass a background check and comply with client confidentiality requirements
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working on enterprise or large-scale eCommerce projects
- Experience supporting Amazon or other marketplace content production
- Familiarity with translation management systems or localization workflows
- Understanding of accessibility or internationalization best practices
- Agency or client-services experience
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams using Slack, Zoom, or Teams
